Continued from last week. . .
HELLO there readers, we are now getting into the middle of winter and what a winter it is so far lol. I am glad I do not stay in England yo!
This week, I will give you my final instalment of how to deal with acne using home remedies and some trusted medicinal methods.
Hare are more home remedies I have used that work.

Paw-paw
Paw-paw is great in treating minor wounds and mild acne. Its messy to use but it works if you have the patience.  Mash the fruit as finely as you can then apply it to your face like a face mask. It is mushy and does take time to dry.  You may have to lie down to prevent the pulp slipping off your face.  Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes, then wash off. It also prevent acne from re occurring.

Flaxseed
If you have heard of the importance of omega 3 fatty acids — flaxseed is one of the main carriers of omega 3 a part from fish. If you suffer from regular outbreaks of acne, then you have to make flaxseed a normal part of your everyday diet. Flaxseed is not an external treatment, it has to be consumed preferably uncooked. But it’s not a problem if you put it in your cooked or baked foods. You will not regret it.

Avocadoes
Avocados are my favourite fruit/vegetable lol. They are rich in unsaturated fats and are a good source of fibre. If you are an acne sufferer, you should make avocado an important part of your daily diet. You can mix it with other fruits or vegetables to make some form of salad.

Garlic
Let me tell you, my secret to every illness is Garlic, if you catch something in it’s early stages, garlic is effective in curing if not preventing many of the little sicknesses we experience here and there. Garlic has a high amount of vitamin C, which is effective in treating acne. Crush garlic until it forms a paste. Apply the garlic paste only to the affected areas where there is acne. Leave for a few minutes not more than 10 minutes, then remove and wash off. Garlic is very strong and if left for too long will not only water your eyes, but may burn your skin slightly. So be careful.

Peppermint
Believe it or not peppermint has anti-inflammatory properties, which is great in helping reducing acne. Chop up the leaves and extract the juice. Wipe the juice on the areas of your body that has acne and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash off thoroughly and dry your skin.

Olive Oil
I am all about olive oil these days. Acne always causes the surrounding skin to become hard. Olive oil is the mother of all remedies when it comes to softening skin a part from Vitamin E and Bio oil.  It does not clog the skin and has been used for hundreds of years to treat skin conditions in the Mediterranean. Simply massage 1 tbsp of Olive Oil into your skin each day — preferably at night because it is extremely oily.

Apple Cider Vinegar
I cleanse my skin when I have an acne outbreak with Apple Cider Vinegar. It removes all the bacteria that causes acne breakouts and it helps balance the pH levels of the skin which is important if you suffer with acne. Mix 1 part Cider with 4 parts water.
Use cotton wool to wipe it all over the affected areas, leave for 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water. If you do not have very sensitive skin, leave it on the whole night.

Tomatoes
Tomatoes are awesome especially if you mix them with lemon juice. I mash my tomatoes to pulp, then I spread the pulp or paste all over my face.

I leave it for 20 minutes to dry, then I wash it off with warm water. I cannot explain the effect, but it is instant.

Dairy Products
Unfortunately if you are like me, I love dairy product in every form. But if you are an acne sufferer, it would be wise for you to cut out dairy products whilst you have acne. Your acne will feed off any dairy product and get worse.

TIP OF THE WEEK
Other people will always see what you show them not necessarily what you want them to see.
