A TWENTY-year-old Chikanga man who stole a firearm from a soldier at a night club and later used the weapon to shoot a taxi driver in cold blood has been convicted of murder by a senior Mutare High Court Judge.
Justice Hlekani Mwayera found Talent Michael Matambo of House Number 3136 Chikanga guilty of the February 9, 2018 murder.
The suspect, who posed as a genuine client and hired the unsuspecting cab man from the city centre, shot him in the head at point blank.
He dumped Wellingon Tatenda Musewe’s body in a maize field near the Forbes Border Post which was later discovered by a farmer.
