JUST IN: Gimboki ‘land barons’ granted bail Yard and four co-accused were convicted on their own plea of guilty for illegally parceling out residential stands at Gimboki in Dangamvura

FIVE Mutare men who allegedly parcelled out residential stands on land that was set aside for educational institutions in the Gimboki section of Dangamvura were granted bail by the Mutare High Court today.

 

The five, Binali Yard, Trust Mutima, Webster Mudzimwa, Tawanda Ndawe and Brian Marange, were granted bail by Justice Jester Charewa after spending the Christmas holiday in remand prison.

 

They were ordered to pay US$200 to the Clerk of Court at Mutare Magistrates’ Court.

 

They were ordered to continue residing at their given addresses until the matter is finalised.

 

Each appellant was ordered not to interfere with investigations or witnesses until the matter is finalised.

 

Justice Charewa also ordered the five not to visit Gimboki for the purposes of parcelling out land and should cease and desist from any activities in that regard.

 

They were also ordered to report to the CID Law and Order, Mutare every Friday between 6am and 6pm.
