A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl drowned in a water bucket in a tragic incident that happened in Zimunya last Saturday.
Vankeydem Mutoko was left unattended when she jumped into a 20-litre bucket which was full of water.
Mutoko’s grandmother, Constant Musimwa (61) was bathing, while her grandfather, Samuel Muparadzei (60) was asleep when the incident happened.
Police confirmed the drowning which happened in Village 3B of Chipendeke in Chief Zimunya’s area.
Police said Vankeydem, who stayed with her grandparents, jumped into the water bucket and struggled to breath as her head was submerged in the water.
She died instantly.
