HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY EVERYONE – Lots of Love!
Yup, it is that time of the year again where the men say: “Oh no” and the ladies say “Oh yes”………It’s Valentine’s Day in less than a week.

If you are like me, I am already looking through my wardrobe trying to figure out what to wear.

I then convince myself that there is nothing in the wardrobe, so I need something new.
But then I look at the budget and see that there is nothing in there for a new outfit for Valentine’s, then the stress begins kikiki. For those who do not know what I am taking about – shame! The rest of you say: “Girl, we feel you” kikiki.

Valentine’s Day people is a big deal. And while men are stressing about what to do for their women, women are stressing about what they will wear or how they are going to look on the day, or are their men going to do something for them. The rest just pray, it comes and goes. This week, I will help you with a few ideas about how to dress.

First, we all know the main colour for Valentine’s is Red. But be sure to wear the right kind of red that suits your skin shade and keep the style of outfit in line with your personal style.

Even if you choose to stay at home and relax, make an effort to look nice, it is all about love and appreciation. And by the way, Valentine’s Day can be celebrated between loved ones, such as husband and wife, parents and children, best friends, boyfriends and girlfriends etc. It is about showing love. So wear red, decorate the table with red etc.

So, let us begin, if you are going out for dinner, your first choice should be a little red dress. If you can’t do the red, then do a little black dress.

If you are mature in age or character, then a fitting black or red dress will be just as great. Gold or silver accessories are a must here, from earrings to bangles and necklaces. It is Valentine’s, so do not be shy.

Put your hair up in the back or the side. Keep it up with a red flower or a silver or gold hair pin. Flat shoes ladies are out. Heels are the way to go for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Short sleeves are perfect. If you are afraid of the cold, carry a shawl, scarf or bolero.

If you are going around town, or to an office party, think of a form fitting dress with classic black pumps. You can also wear a black or white or red mini-skirt paired with thigh-high boots.

And what if you do choose to stay home over Valentine’s weekend? I say go ahead, why not. After a long week of work, we don’t blame you for staying in during the weekend.

But that does not change the fact that it is still the month of love. So what to wear, well there is nothing wrong with keeping comfortable. Wear pretty flats/ sandals, comfortable dress pants, and a floral printed blouse with a cascading silhouette (flowy soft material).

Last, but not least people, do not over spend this Valentine’s Day. Be wise, if you do not have to spend much – don’t. But on the other hand, do not be stingy, what good can come out of people being stingy with each other.

After all you cannot take your money with you when you die, so better spend it here on earth on your loved one.

Well, that is it from me folks, until next week, God Bless!
