THE mini hydro-power plant installed in Honde Valley has resulted in improved production as power generation has increased from 1 megawatt to 30 megawatts since 2010 to date.
In an interview on the side-lines of a workshop on the development of inventories under the enhanced transparency framework, energy management and climate change mitigation consultant Mr Tendayi Marowa applauded the government for creating of a friendly environment for independent power producers to contribute to the national grid.
He said the power generation move was in line with the National Development Strategy 1 which outlines that providing reliable and low cost energy access spurs industrial development.
