KNOWLEDGE Musona’s agent says a return to Kaizer Chiefs for the striker is not cut and dried and that the move ‘remains in the balance’.
It has been reported that the Amakhosi are negotiating another deal for the Zimbabwean international and that he could return to Naturena for a third time before the end of the week.
But Mike Makaab says there is still another offer —not from South Africa — that his German club Hoffenheim is considering.
“I would still say that there is a 50-50 chance of Knowledge coming back to Chiefs. At the moment there is another overseas offer that is being considered, but we should have more clarity by the end of the week,” Makaab tells KickOff.com.
Musona spent last week training with La Liga side Granada’s reserve team as he looks to build up his fitness, and is now back at Hoffenheim awaiting clarity on his next move.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean twins, Peter and Patrick Mubayiwa’s proposed move to Chippa United has hit a snag as they are still waiting for their permanent residence permits.
Permanent residence permits would allow the two midfielders to be registered as non-foreigners at Chippa.
The Mubayiwa twins have been in South Africa since the 2007/08 season and have only ever played for First Division club Witbank Spurs.
Themba Mafu, the boss at Spurs, confirms that the two players’ transfer was subject to the issuing of their PR permits, which they have already applied for as they meet the requirements of having worked in the country for five years.
“The twins would have moved to Chippa provided they got their permanent residence permits but since they are still waiting for those papers it means the deal cannot happen for now,” Mafu tells KickOff.com.
