SERENA Williams has won 73 WTA singles titles: 23 of these are Grand Slam events (absolute record in the Open Era, men included), making her the second player ever to have won more Majors in this specialty behind only Margaret Smith Court, with 24 .

She completed the virtual Grand Slam, which consists of four consecutive Slams not in the same calendar year, twice (in the two years 2002-2003 and 2014-2015).

 

She has also won five year-end Master Cups and 19 Premier category tournaments (6 Premier Mandatory, 6 Premier 5 and 7 Premier), as well as 21 Tier I and Tier II titles and a gold medal from the London Olympics in 2012 against Maria Sharapova.

Not only in singles Serena Williams can boast numerous victories, but also in women’s doubles and mixed doubles, where there are 16 other Grand Slam tournaments: 14 won with her older sister Venus and two in mixed doubles, both obtained with Maks Mirny in 1998.

To these successes must be added three other gold medals at the Olympics, all won together with Venus, a Federation Cup and two Hopman Cups.

 

In 2021, Serena missed the US Open due to a hamstring injury which she got at Wimbledon.

 

From the marriage with Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, Olympia jr was born.

 

The 4-year-old daughter of Serena and Alexis showed off a great tennis backhand in a new Instagram video posted on her page about her.

During the practice, Olympia showed a good backhand swing. Her aunt, Venus Williams, said: “It’ s Oracene all over again!”

 

We recall that in 2020, Serena said she signed her daughter up for tennis lessons, with them le which she has been spending more and more time practicing tennis.

Serena’s daughter is also passionate about the piano.

 

Williams, in-fact, in a video and then during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, said: “I teach her tennis, she teaches me piano. I have a baby Mozart, of course every parent thinks they have like, a baby Beethoven or whatever!” – Online.
