FIVE visual artistes from Manicaland Province are participating in the ongoing third edition of the Artspiration Exhibition organised by the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.

The exhibition got underway in Harare on Thursday, with visual artistes drawn from provinces across the country having over 50 sculptures and paintings in both 2D and 3D on display.

This year’s episode is running under the theme ‘Masked’ as it seeks to address Covid-19 issues.

Manicaland gallery regional director Ms Elizabeth Muusha applauded organisers of the event, saying the month-long exhibition comes in handy to increase awareness on the pandemic and tackle subjects around it.

The exhibition will also provide blossoming acts with a platform to showcase their talent where they can interact and share ideas with other artistes, she added.

National Gallery of Zimbabwe partnered a local investment company, Morgan and Co, to hold the exhibition.

The exhibition saw entries from both first time and seasoned artistes and the six most outstanding will walk away with cash prizes, vouchers and certificates.
