Hello Mutare, I am so excited with the feedback that we are getting from makeovers we are doing. I cannot wait to showcase our next makeover, which is a man. Yes even men need makeovers. Everyone deserves another chance and everyone has a story. This platform gives you an opportunity to tell your story while showing you that your situation does not always necessarily reflect who you are. You can look and feel the best that you can by making a decision.  Message the Fashion Diva if you want a makeover and if you have a story to tell that we can use to give someone out there courage to face each day.

In the meantime, I cannot ignore my faithful readers who diligently write in to ask questions. So in between these makeovers I may have to answer a relevant question or two.

Today I am talking about ombre Wigs. Yes ombre as in two-colour or two-tone wigs.

Ombre weaves have been the craze look for a while internationally and locally. We have seen our ladies wear black with white, black with mahogany, black with blue, black with gold and so on. But the ombre wig has not really caught on well in this country. Most wigs being sold in the country are usually one colour or a highlighted colour. Ombre on the other hand, has a dark top and a lighter bottom or vice a versa.

I love ombre wigs because they work on any event with a colour you desire but it may not look nice on your skin shade alone, but when mixed with another colour it works. I also like ombre because it gives the illusion that the hair is actually yours. So if you have natural dark hair, but want the ends to look lighter, a wig does the trick.

Just like weaves, ombre wigs though have to be matched with your personality.

Black and white/grey wigs are amazing, but if the person wearing it has no personality, it will not work. You can look old or scary. But if the personality wearing it is lively and adventurous, regardless of the age, it will make them look sheik and sleek.

Ombre always looks better on higher quality wigs, rather than cheaper quality wigs. Cheaper quality wigs will eventually fray at the bottom where the lighter colour is and will make the wig look like grass at the bottom whereas better quality wigs are lighter in density and will last longer obviously.

Colours trending right now are Black & gold, black and mahogany, black & white, black & grey, black & pink, black & blue, black & yellow, black & purple, black & red, black & blonde, black & brown. Of cause that does not mean that other colours are not trending. If you feel like wearing something else or like making a wig of your own with un-trending colours, go for it.

That’s it from me this week folks, next week we showcase our next full makeover, do not mix it.
