TWO Mutare women from Sakubva high-density suburb are alleged to have assisted a fellow resident to rape a 14-year-old teenager recently.Chipo Mbendana (47) and Kudzanai Hombarume (21) allegedly connived with Tafadzwa Kanjanda and planned the rape of the teenager from Chikanga high-density suburb.
Mbendana and Hombarume, who appeared before Mutare senior magistrate Mrs Sekai Chiundura, are alleged to have told the teenager that Kanjanda would marry her, hence she should sleep with him.
They were remanded in custody and ordered to apply for bail at the High Court. Kanjanda also pleaded guilty to the offence and implicated Mbendana and Hombarume.
The court heard that the two women invited the girl to Sakubva and told her about their plan that she should sleep with Kanjanda. The girl refused. However, Kanjanda allegedly raped the girl.
