MUTARE-BORN model, Tanaka Dumbura, is leaving no stone unturned as she seeks to excel at the Miss Culture International pageant due to be held later this year.

The unfazed Dumbura, who is the reigning Miss Culture Zimbabwe, and the only country’s representative at the impending global contest to be held in South Africa, has already impressed after she came out sixth on the online voting platform after garnering 4 097 votes.

Dumbura, who is set to meet other top models from across the globe, has impressed voters with the pre-pageant activities, thanks to her eloquence, confidence and charm.

In her talent video which was one of the most watched, Dumbura said: “It makes me feel happy and positive. Honestly, the love and support that I am receiving from people is overwhelming and I am grateful.”

Dumbura, told Post Entertainment that she would continue working hard and inspire other young women and children to believe in themselves.

“I am happy with the journey so far and the overwhelming support that I have been receiving. I became more excited when people showed me so love during the online voting.

“I am confident that I will make a mark at the coming Miss Culture International. I will continue working hard to bring the crown home,” she said.

Dumbura, won the hearts of many on her Facebook page following her recent interview with Camila: “At first I thought of giving up, especially at national pageantry but I had to keep on encouraging myself to keep going.

“Eventually, I found self in boot camp. I am just here to fight the stereotypes associated with being a petite model and I am determined to inspire young girls and women.

“In the future, I see myself as a model groomer. I also like to help people and establish a foundation that will empower women and young girls,” she said.

She recently posted on her Facebook page thanking Zimbabweans and her fans for being her inspiration.

“Friends and family thank you so much for your love and support, l really appreciate you.

“Thank you believing in me and fighting for me. You are truly the best group anyone would ask for.

“I will be waiting for the final show which is in Durban soon and l still need your support,” she posted.

The elegant Dumbura holds an Honors Degree in History and International Studies, and she has also done some charity work that include mobilizing 5 000 school shoes for vulnerable children.

Besides being a model, Dumbura is a talented karateka and is perfecting her kyokushin skills.

The Miss Culture International pageant aims to celebrate different cultures through showcasing beauty and fashion.

Dumbura has contested in pageants such as the Miss Charity Zimbabwe 2020, Miss Manicaland Queen 2020 and the Miss Valentine’s 2020, where she was crowned first princess.
