Different hairstyles for the winter The Senegalese twist

The ManicaPost

Ann Ruthenburg
HELLO there folks, how are you all doing. Yes, we are in April. We are right at the doorstep of winter and what a winter this is going to be with all the rains we have been having.

Well, apart from us having to change out lotions to creams for the winter and pumps for boots, we also need to change our hairstyles to protect our hair, especially natural hair.

Dreadlocks are also ideal for winter

This winter just like any other winter, we have to keep our hair moist, so all those Coconut oils, Amla oils, Castor oils, Vitamin E oils, Rasta Gold oils, and Shea butter creams need to become your best friends now. Omega 3 and 6 vitamins, Vitamin C and B complex are also imp ortant for your body and hair as part of your medicine cabinet also this winter if you are not getting them through your daily food intake.

Make head scarves, hats, etc your best friend

To top it all, put your hair in “protective styles”.

You do not have to have the same one all the winter, but you should find one that suits you and is comfortable. Protective styles are low-maintenance styles that combat split ends and encourage growth of your natural hair. These are perfect especially for the winter, as they allow you leave your hair untouched for weeks on end.

Bantu or puff knots

The styles in fashion this winter are Senegalese Twists, Bantu Knots, Dreadlocks, Cornrows, Braids, Head scarves.

That is it from me this week folks, so until next week, stay warm.

Fashion Diva can be found at Kutz n’ Kurlz Hair Salon in Meikles Department Store or messaged (not called) on 0772933845.
