ALL eyes will be on the country’s biggest football institution, Dynamos when they return to Manicaland for a date against Tenax C.S FC in a potentially enthralling Castle Lager Premiership match set for Vengere Stadium on Sunday.
The match starts at 3pm.
Dynamos were on the receiving end the first time they were in the country’s eastern province after being subdued by Cranborne Bullets at the same venue recently.
Sunday’s encounter against Tenax C.S FC will be the second time DeMbare will be in Manicaland in as many weeks and the Tonderai Ndiraya-coached outfit will be back on two occasions to face Manica Diamonds and Black Rhinos respectively at Vengere Stadium in Rusape.
Chauya Chikara, as Tenax C.S FC are fondly referred to, will be coming into Sunday’s match with their tails high after an impressive goalless stalemate against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo recently.
Their head coach, Isaac ‘Zeka’ Nengamasha said: “Moral is high in the camp and the boys are raring to go. They are aware that matches played against big teams earn them recognition, hence the zeal. The good result away against Highlanders has been a motivating factor.
“Preparations in the run-up to the match against Dynamos have been going on very well. We know it will be a tough match, but we will give it our best shot.”
Tenax C.S FC lost the reverse fixture in Harare 1-3.
DeMbare are in an unenviable quest to end their seven-year wait for the Premiership league title and their campaign has been affected by a massive dip in form, which was somewhat sanitised recently by their victory over Chicken Inn.
The 3-0 success over the Gamecocks was the only time Dynamos won in their preceding seven rounds of league matches.
