SuperSport United’s Ryan Chapman has hailed the return of Kingston Nkhatha and Daine Klate from injury, insisting the pair are key members of the side.

January recruit Klate featured for the first time since his return in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over University of Pretoria, a match which saw Nkhatha also return following a three-match injury lay-off.

“The players who came back from injury have given us a big boost, they have a bit of presence about them too, and without singling anyone out in particular, (debutant winger) Daine Klate is a good example,” United forward Ryan Chapman, who made way for Klate in that encounter, told his club’s official website.

“He’s been out for a while with injury, but now he’s keen to regain his fitness and enjoy his football again. He’s definitely going to be big for us.”

And Chapman believes the likes of Klate and Nkhatha form an integral part of the SuperSport set-up.

“I said a couple of weeks ago in relation to the likes of Kingston Nkhatha and Daine to name but two players, if we can keep everyone healthy we will do well and they’ll be an asset to us as they regain their fitness,” he said.

The victory ended a three-match winless run for Gordon Igesund’s men, who now lie ninth in the PSL standings, yet Chapman insists his side must not look too far ahead.

“We’ve taken three valuable points now, so we just have to build on it, keep on doing the right things in the right areas, and yes, keep our feet on the ground because it’s one win,” he said. – KICKOFF.
