THE stage has been set for the much-awaited Spiritual Spectacles Night crusade slated for Sakubva Beithall tonight (Friday).
The crusade will be hosted by Harare-based musician and Prophet Tapiwa Freddy of Goodness and Mercy Ministries. The potentially fun and spirit-filled night will see Prophet Freddy conducting a prophetic and healing session for the whole night, while local-based musicians, Brian Samaita, Blessing Shumba and Agatha Murudzwa will provide entertainment.
Tonight’s edition will be Prophet Freddy’s maiden appearance in the eastern border city, both as a prophet and as a musician. His crusades as well as Sunday services in Glen View have been drawing a full house.
In an interview, Prophet Freddy, urged people to come in their numbers and be part of the prophetic and healing sessions that will transform lives of many. “It is God who sent me to Mutare and it will be a night full of prophecies and miracles. I am on a mission to transform people’s lives.
The sick will be healed. The dejected shall be uplifted as we bring “spiritual spectacles” to Mutare. “We are expecting a full house. It is a healing and deliverance service which is expected to draw scores of people from across Mutare and beyond,” said Prophet Freddy.
Scores of people expected to throng the spacious hall are also expected to be treated to an array of entertainment, with live performances from Shumba, Samaita and Murudzwa.
Shumba is expected to perform a blend of yesteryear and new hits such as ‘‘Mufaro’’, ‘‘Zita’’, ‘‘Timene Timene’’ and ‘‘My Season’’, while Rusape-based gospel diva, Murudzwa will be preaching through music with her inspiring and soulful songs.
Interestingly, Samaita and Murudzwa did a duet together, ‘‘Jerusarema’’ contained on the former’s last album, ‘‘Kumazivandadzoka’’. Prophet Freddy also boasts of an above average soulful album, 100 Percent Prophetic – Journey Mercies.
The album carries songs such as ‘Ndiani Wandingaudze’’, ‘‘Tinopemberera’’, ‘‘Rudo’’, ‘‘Josepha’’ and ‘‘Vana’’, which was voted number 29 in last year’s Radio Zimbabwe Coca-Cola Top 50.
Some of his previous albums are ‘‘Messiah’’ and ‘‘Serevende’’. They were released in 2002 and 2006 respectively.
Prophet Freddy started prophesying at a tender age in the dusty streets of Glen View.
