CHARLESWOOD Primary School in Chimanimani East District has received a shot in the arm following the reconstruction of two classroom blocks which were destroyed by Cyclone Idai in 2019.
The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) and leading financial services provider, FBC Holdings were heavily involved in the project, while the local community assisted with labour.
FBC Holdings, through their corporate social responsibility supplied building material, while ZNA provided the technical expertise to ensure the speedy construction of the classrooms.
Chimanimani East Member of National Assembly, Honourable Joshua Sacco applauded ZNA and FBC Holdings for the gesture, saying it will go a long way in ensuring that the school has a conducive learning environment.
The Government, together with various organisations, is still assisting communities in Chimanimani and other affected areas to recover from the damage caused by Cyclone Idai.
