A MUTARE man is accusing his estranged wife of attacking his girlfriends ever since their separation in November last year.

Mutare magistrate, Mr Lazarus Murendo, granted Moses Machiri the protection order he was seeking against Sheila Mukudo.

The magistrate ordered Mukudo to stop insulting, harassing and breaching Machiri’s peace.

This was after Machiri had told the court that Mukudo deserted him last year but is failing to move on with her life.

He said each time she sees him in the company of another woman or hears about it, she tracks her down, stalks and assaults her.

“She always scares away the women I date. I am no longer part of her life since she deserted me last year. She told me that she was done with me and I have been staying alone since then.

“I have been in three different relationships since last November, but they have all failed because of this woman. She stalks my girlfriends and tells them that I am still her husband.

“No woman wants to be associated with me due to her rowdy behaviour,” narrated Machiri.

He said he is now living a lonely life as he now fears entering into relationships due to Mukudo’s uncouthness.

Mukudo did not oppose the granting of the protection order to Machiri.

She, however, told the court that Machiri kicked her out of their matrimonial home for unknown reasons.

“He told me that he wanted me out of his life and when I refused to leave, he packed all my bags and kicked me out. I had no option but to leave. I do not stalk his girlfriends. I just tell them the truth, I am still his wife,” said Mukudo.

The order will be valid for the next five years.
