SUNGURA maestro, Alick Macheso takes his newly-released album, Tinosvitswa Nashe, to Mutare for the first time since its release.

 

The album re-launch scheduled for tonight (Friday) will see Macheso unveiling live all the six songs, Makazvinzwepi, Kutadzirana, Nzendo Dzirefu, Impfa Nimulandi, Munhu Mumwe and Ndimi Vanhu Vacho to a legion of fans expected to throng the spacious venue.

 

Macheso said he will also play some of his songs from yester-year albums such as Charakupa, Madhawu, Monalisa and Shedia.

 

He will be supported by heir to the Utakataka throne, Peter ‘Dhewa’ Moyo.

Sunny Day Junior School

Rising gospel artiste, Paul Samupindi launches his new single, Wakatendeka tomorrow. Samupindi, who rose to fame after releasing a soulful gem, Zvakandiwira in 2018, will be backed by Elshaddai singers.

 

He will also unveil the video of the song. Samupindi said the song speaks about the faithfulness of God in his life.

Club Mandisa

Harare-based popular comic performer, David “Apama Styles” Machowa is scheduled to perform at the popular entertainment centre situated at the heart of Mutare City.

 

Apama confirmed the show this week, saying he will be backed by dancers to add flavour to his otherwise well-polished and unpredictable act. He will perform from tonight till Sunday.

Dhunza Bar

The watering hole situated in the sprawling suburb of Dangamvura will see local wheel spinners, Rumbledon, Stixx and Zincyard jamming new school and classic music.

The toast of the weekend will be the Ladies Night to be held tonight and tomorrow.

The club management has gone back to the basics by re-introducing Old School Sundays which will be led by veteran wheel spinner, DJ Ranga, who pioneered the session years back.

The session dubbed ‘Old Skool Retro’ will see revellers treated to free sumptuous mazondo and trotters from 1pm to 2pm.

 

Ranga will be supported on the decks by the joint’s resident deejays, Quick, Shamie D, Briz and Famous.

Morejoy Bottle Store

DJ Lion will tomorrow entertain imbibers and fun lovers at an open air entertainment joint situated in Dora communal lands.

 

The sleepy rural area will also see local dance ensemble, Diamond Kings and Queens entertaining revellers on the same day.

 

Revellers of all ages will also be treated to some sumptuous gango and braai.
