We don’t vote on Twitter

Editor — There is a lot of self-delusion in opposition circles. Opposition supporters congregate on social media and convince themselves that Zanu PF has no support base to speak of.

We all know that the majority of Zimbabwean voters are in rural areas and that an overwhelming number of these voters are not on Twitter and Facebook.

The opposition supporters are then shocked when they are soundly beaten in elections.

They should simply learn to campaign properly and to come up with policy proposals that appeal to the majority.

Zanu-pf Government’s Command Agriculture, Command Livestock, Command Fisheries and Command Poultry programmes have done wonders for the people in the rural area.

Why should these people vote for immature politicians who go around promising to marry off their 18-year-old sisters if they lose elections?

They will vote for the party that delivers what they need, and in this case, it is Zanu-PF. The majority have spoken and it is time those in urban areas started learning to respect the majority.

After all, the voice of the people is the voice of God!
