SACRED Heart Primary School in Mutare is reaping the benefits of the Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) subject following its successful release of a new song.

The learning institution in Hobhouse recently came up with the music offering, “Ngatitendei Mateacher”, with its head, Mr Edward Chawanda, expressing excitement with the development.

The song was done by pupils and teachers at the school.

Mr Chawanda said the track promotes Visual and Performing Arts which is part of the new curriculum.

“We are excited about this development in which our music club was able to release a song. The track promotes children’s education, and also highlights its importance and significance so as to sensitise local communities.

“On top of that, successfully doing this song sustains our efforts to promote the new curriculum as we are emphasising on the Visual and Performing Arts subject at our school. It shows we are moving in tandem with local education’s new curriculum requirements,” he said.

Mr Chawanda hailed the teachers and pupils who were involved in doing the song for their commitment to ensure the success of the project.
