THE Covid-19 vaccination programme has been extended to private facilities across the country.

A nominal fee of injection by a doctor of $434,35 and $220,64 by a nurse will be charged at the institutions.

This is in line with Government’s accelerated vaccination drive as it moves to attain herd immunity, with over one million people having taken the first jab while over 600 000 have received the second dose.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Child Care Dr Jasper Chimedza said the vaccination exercise had been extended to private hospitals, clinics and medical aid societies, and are allowed to charge a nominal fee.
