Succumbing to the trappings of power Towntalk with Blabbermouth

The ManicaPost

BEING an elder in our community, Blabber knows and understands that it is not wise to brag about our moral uprightness until we get the finances needed to fund our temptations.

Get this right, there are things about our characters that poverty can hide, but those things can be exposed by money.

In the same measure, there are things about our characters that money can hide and can only be exposed in poverty.

This truism is unfolding in our midst with this other brother of ours who was always upright in our eyes until he entered into a public office.

Being such a gentle private medical practitioner, a devoted Christian for that matter, none of us ever imagined seeing the animal in him.

Yours Truly is actually failing to come to terms with how power hungry he has suddenly turned out to be!

Word reaching Blabber is that the man currently calling the shots at this other major service provider in our beautiful city is stopping at nothing in quenching his sexual and financial appetite.

In fact, there is a young female intern who was recently employed before completing her tertiary studies as a way of thanking her for her exploits between the sheets.

This is just the latest revelation after a series of nepotism cases were detected.

Only God knows what remains of the borrowed time this learned goon is living in this organisation.

It appears the speed with which this guy is moving is meant to cover up for lost time spent in a dull private medical care vocation that hardly exposed him to the temptations he is now dealing with each passing day in this public office.

Those with ears have heard and understood the folly of bragging about their moral uprightness.

Anyway, Blabber initially wanted to delve into the freaky blood sacrifices that are now common in our beloved city, all for the unrestrained love of money and power.

Yours Truly then decided to shelve it.

While there is really nothing wrong in admiring his hardware shops, nice cars and the sumptuous dishes that are always on his table, one should never forget that all that glitters is not gold.

Dear reader, make a date with me in the next instalment for a juicy blow-by-blow account of a highly religious man whose business is a product of nasty blood sacrifices.

For now, remember that the pandemic is still here.

Let’s stay safe.
