A MUTARE man daily haunted by an ex-girlfriend, who has gone as far as targeting his relatives for abuse, has successfully obtained a protection order from the court.
Simbarashe Gudyanga, who is married, was however advised by Mutare magistrate Ms Nyasha Kuture to stay out of extra-marital affairs as he now had first hand experience on the consequences of such behaviour.
In his application, Gudyanga said Patricia Hatinahama was out to create hell for him and his family because he had dumped her.
Hatinahama, the court heard, threatened to visit the Gudyanga family and cause mayhem.
“She promises to come to my home and cause havoc but she is just an ex-lover. I am no longer interested in her,” said Gudyanga.
He also claimed Hatinahama approached his sister-in-law and harassed her.
Gudyanga, who operates at Meikles Park, alleged Hatinahama visits him daily and disrupts his business.
“Your Worship, I conduct my business from my car. She comes and forces herself in the car where she causes violence. I fear that I might lose my money because of her actions. If it is possible can she be banned from getting into my car if she cannot be banned from coming to Meikles Park?” said Gudyanga.
The request was dismissed by Ms Kuture who ruled that the park is a public place.
Ms Kuture, however, granted Gudyanga the protection order.
“These side chicks are bad for you as you have seen. Stick to your family and all will be well,” said Ms Kuture.
