FOR merrymakers Club Mandisa is the place to be tomorrow as Zimdancehall chanter Seh Calaz will take up the stage in what is expected to be an explosive show. Progress Chipfumo will complete the entertainment diary on Monday evening on a gig dubbed Monday Jam Session.
Seh Calaz is expected to sample some of his songs from his latest album Love Story.
“Our fans must expect a great show. I am very happy to be back in Mutare. I will be sampling one or two songs from my latest album Love Stories which I released on Valentine’s day. Some of the songs that our fans must look out for include ‘Saru’ and ‘Ndakusuwa’,” he said.
Progress Chipfumo and Sound of the Motherland will serenade revellers on Monday evening. The show will kick off at 7pm till late. Chipfumo believes the Monday Jam Session is a must attend show.
He entered the professional music industry after joining Hohodza band in the 1990s, but later formed his own band, the Sounds of the Motherland after parting ways with Hohodza.
He rose to fame with the album ‘‘Tsiurika’’ which received much airplay on local radio stations.
“We are happy to be back in Mutare. We are expecting a blissful night. The whole Sounds of the Motherland band is ready. We will play some songs from our forthcoming album due for release next month,” said Chipfumo.
Bonface Nyamanhindi of Club Mandisa said the show is part of their artiste programme that would see a number of musicians performing at the venue. He also added that everything was now in place for the show.
“We are overwhelmed by the response we have received so far from our patrons. “We will try our best to keep our patrons entertained. The feedback we are getting shows they are enjoying our current programme and service. We will have more big artistes coming for shows here to add to various entertainment activities that we have every week,” he said.
