MANICALAND’S ceremonial home of football Sakubva Stadium as well as Rusape’s Vengere Stadium were inspected today (Friday) by the Zifa First Instance Body (FIB) in preperation of anticipated resumption of action.
Zifa spokesperson Qolisani Gwesela and PSL official Rodwell Thabe conducted the inspection as representatives of the FIB.
In an interview after the inspection, Gwesela said: “This is part of the tour of all stadia across the country. Our theme is zero tolerance to derilict match venues.
“We have made our recommendations to the custodians of the facilities we h av e inspected and we hope by the time football action resumes everything will be in place.”
Mutare top flight league teams Manica Diamonds and newly promoted Tenax FC are expected to use Sakubva Stadium as their home ground while Vengere could be registered as an alternative home ground.
