A TECH company has launched a virtual girlfriend device which can send touching texts throughout the day asking how you are feeling.
Gatebox, the founding company, developed the technology to act as a companion to someone who may be living alone.
The device includes a small holographic robot , which can also be used to control things like lighting timings. The advert showcasing the technology above, shows a lonely man enjoying interacting with his virtual girlfriend.
The man is shown chatting to the device as if it were his wife, telling her good morning as she updates him on the day’s weather.
He’s then shown receiving messages from his hologram reading “have fun at work” and “come home early”.While the device may sound a little creepy to some, for those who fancy a virtual companion in their home, it doesn’t come cheap.
