Rising gospel outfit, Resurrection Power Gospel Singers are set to launch their fifth album, titled “Ngariende”.

The nine track package is scheduled to be launched tomorrow at Courtauld Theatre from 2-6pm. “Ngariende” is another step in the development of the group’s  career since joining the arts industry in 2010.

The 14-member male ensemble,  from United Methodist church released “Mumwe Mukana” in 20112 before “Ngatitende Mwari” in 2013. The following year they released “Nguva Yapera” and in 2016 they did “Zororo”. One of the group members Edwin Marimbire, told The Weekender that all was set for the album  launch.

“We will be launching our fifth album on Saturday at Courtauld Theatre. The event will start at 2pm and will end at 6pm. We will be performing live with a full band. The album carries nine tracks with different messages of praising God. Some of the tracks on our new album include the title track “Ngariende”, “Murapi Aripano”, “Baba Mune Simba”, “Sanganai Nesu” and “Ndofamba Ndofamba” to mention but a few,” he said.

Marimbire said the previous four albums did well and with the new one, they were aiming higher.

“Our previous albums performed fairly well and we appreciate it. We are pleased and the albums are still selling up to today. We are also happy that at the moment, we have not yet been affected much by piracy. We hope our new baby will scale dizzy heights. We are always invited to perform at weddings, funerals and our calendar is very busy. We hope to have shows in the near future,” he said

Several gospel musicians, including Minister Machocho, Winnet Marevanadzo, Joseph Tivafire, Rogers Bepete, Hilltop and friends, Shelter Muradzikwa and Divine Elect are expected to grace the event.
