THE 2020 Rainbow Netball Amateur League (RANL) season will officially get underway tomorrow with 20 teams confirming their participating.

RANL secretary-general Moses Gukurume announced that a total of 10 games are lined up across the country’s ten provinces.

“We are starting our league this weekend with a total of 10 games lined up across the country. We are very excited about this development.

It is indeed a promising season. We have new teams that are joining us for the very first time and we welcome them. It is going to be a season to watch based on the teams we have.

From the looks of things, teams are ready and have been working very hard. I think the competition will be stiff compared to last season. A great season of netball is upon us. Fans must come out in their numbers and support their favourite teams.”

“We held a pre-season tournament in Gweru last week. From the looks of things, there are no small teams this season. A lot of teams signed new players and are ready for the season,” he said.

Newly promoted Chisumbanje-based side Greenfuel Angels said they are not leaving any stone unturned in their quest to finish top.

Greenfuel Angels are home to ZDF and the match will be played at Greenfuel main arena tomorrow.

Greenfuel Angels coach  Farai Mlambo was bullish ahead of tomorrow’s encounter.

“We are ready for the 2020 season. This is our maiden appearance but we have set our targets. We are aiming to finish on top of the league. We know it is not going to be easy but we are geared up for any team. We are taking each game as it comes,” he said.

Tenax Queens, who finished ninth last season,0 are looking forward to a better season.
