President Emmerson Mnangagwa has today officially launched the construction of a state-of-the-art sports centre and stadium at St Noah College in Bocha, Marange.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony, the President said the construction of such recreation facilities is important in producing well rounded students who excel at both academics and sports.
“Zvamunoita izvi kusimudzira nyika yeZimbabwe. Hapana kana imwe nyika kuwana state-of-the-art stadium kumaruzevha. Ndauya kuno kuzoparura kuvakwa kwestadium iyi ichatambwa bhora revakomana nevasikana,” he said.
He said government appreciated the coming on board of the church to establish facilities that ensure that all children, regardless of their religious beliefs have access to education.
The stadium has a capacity of 16 000 and will house a multi-purpose sports centre.
