Pah Chihera, Faith Candy market new babies

FAST-RISING entertainment hotspot, KwaBaba Acho, situated in the sprawling suburb of Sakubva will tomorrow (Saturday) play host to talented songstresses, Pah Chihera and Faith Candy who are on a countrywide tour to market their new projects.

Candy who recently joined hands with talented lyricist, Mabasa “Bazuka” Ziyambi, is riding high with new eight-track album, “Ndisiyei Zvangu”.

Tracks carried on the album include “Muchaneta”, “Ndisiyei Zvangu”, “Kurauone”, “Wandirasa”, “Mai Vevana”, “Masango Anoera” and “Gehena”.

Award winning Pah Chihera, whose real name is Pamhidzai Tracy Mbirimi, also released a well-polished project, “Mbavha Yerudo” which carries the title track which features Jah Prayzah and “Ukandisiya” featuring Macdonald “Macdee” Chidavaenzi.

Both artistes will perform with full live bands. Faith Candy and Bazuka will stage a joint performance during the potentially-explosive night.

Candy successfully made a transition from urban grooves to afro-jazz and her new album has received rave reviews on local radio stations.

In separate interviews, the two divas, said they were taking their new projects to other cities as they intend to spread tentacles to a new fan base.

“Although my album has been well-received, we will market it outside the capital city. We aim to reach out to our fans in every corner of the country as we seek to broaden our fan base. We are coming to Mutare with a full live band and this will be for the first time,” said Pah whose rose to stardom after releasing chartbuster, “Ndirwo Rudo”, which features Prince Musarurwa.

Said Faith Candy: “It is going to be a blissful night for our fans. We are ready for the show.”

KwaBaba Acho has been one of the sought-after entertainment hubs since opening its doors early this year.

The spacious venue is set to host an avalanche of artistes this festive season, among them, Zimdancehall chanter, Doubles WekwaMarange.

The leisure centre’s management revealed that they had a lot of surprises in store for their patrons before the year curtains down.

“Contrary to the notion some people have about Sakubva Musika, our venue is violent free and there is no pick-pocketing. We have turned it into a place where adults spend quality time with no hassles,” said the management in a statement.
