Those good things that happen in our midst are also newsworthy.
In a world that has known and celebrated so much negativity, and more so currently depressed by the ravaging effects of Covid-19, it is only befitting for Yours Truly to scout for positives.
In this regard, Blabber is elated that some of our brothers, who have spent years, if not decades, assaulting and tormenting innocent people on the streets of different local neighbourhoods, are now repenting and giving their lives to Jesus Christ.
Blabber just cannot believe that this other well-known and feared guy is now an ardent devotee of a local Pentecostal church.
This is none other than the gigantic fella, ndimba-ndimba chaiyo , whose gait is enough to send shivers down the spines of many around the city.
We all know how he caused sleepless nights for many after violent confrontations at sporting venues, bars, nightclubs, musical shows and every other public gathering.
Many around the city know him for his love for a popular sungura musician and his fascination in burning tyres.

However, Blabber is happy that the man has finally seen the advantages of peaceful co-existence after recently giving his life to Christ.
Yes, you heard me right, he has changed his ways for the good and l really hope it lasts.
With the Bible in his hands, he is now spending his Sundays praising the Almighty.
He is not the only one to repent, after all.
There is also this other dude, who shares an almost similar past with the aforementioned chap, who has also since given his life to Christ.
I mean this other flabby chap who now runs a small shop at the city’s major bus terminus.
Word reaching Yours Truly is that the boy, who all along was being hired to beat up people who hadn’t wronged him, is now serving Christ in one of our local churches!
His burly voice has now come in handy in preaching the good news of Jesus Christ’s second coming.
Surely, no one is beyond redemption!
Blabber is praying that the third one who is currently recuperating from a serious medical condition will soon join his peers in serving Christ.
Blabber, being a proponent of good morals, can only marvel at these positive changes in our midst.
We surely need to make the world a better place for us all and to this end, Blabber will never tire in praising the good and denouncing the evil.
For now, let us keep the dictates of social distancing and personal hygienic practices as we continue with the fight against Covid-19.
