MANICALAND Province is one of the country’s tourist destinations that Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) is rallying as a unique selling point at the ongoing Arabian Tourism Market in Dubai.

The four-day international travel trade show commenced on Monday and will run until tomorrow (Thursday).

ZTA head of corporate affairs Mr Godfrey Koti said they are using the exhibition as an opportunity to create awareness on destination Zimbabwe, with Manicaland among the packages to be marketed and unlock business potential for local tourism products.

“Manicaland Province is one of the country’s many major destinations that we are rallying as a unique selling point that Zimbabwe offers. Participating at this exhibition is important for us as a country because this is a global gateway as Dubai is a connecting destination to the world and other source markets.

“We are also interacting with various source markets that are coming here to exhibit at the Africa Travel Market and this is a perfect platform to take our tourism packages to the world. The idea is also to try and entice as many people to come to our country as possible as well as create awareness about destination Zimbabwe,” said Mr Koti.

Manicaland is one of the country’s prime tourist destinations that offers unrivalled breathtaking tourism packages in Nyanga, Vumba and Chimanimani.

Participation at such travel fairs and digital marketing are some of the major promotional tools which ZTA is exploiting after the Expo 2020 Dubai in order to increase the country’s destination visibility in the Middle East source markets.
