IN a move aimed at ensuring stability of fuel prices over a longer period, the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has since last month migrated to monthly reviews as opposed to weekly pricing that has been in place since May 2022.

In a notice to the public today, the energy sector regulator announced the reviewing of fuel prices for the month of March, with a litre of diesel going down to US$1,67 from US$1,70 and $1 499,26 up from $1 418,08 in local currency. Petrol now costs US$1,62 up from US$1,62 and $1 455,32 from $1 3 41,07.

The new prices will be effective up to April 5.

“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio remains at E5. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provide for by the fuel pricing regulations,” reads part of the notice.
