THINGS are falling apart for Mutare Premiership side, Tenax where a key member of the executive is quitting his position amid reports that coach, Shadreck ‘Father’ Mugurasave will be handing his resignation tomorrow (Friday) after failing to agree with the return of Blessing Madombi in the team’s technical department, Post Sport can reveal.

Madombi was shown the exit at Tenax about two months ago for disciplinary issues, but has since been drafted back into the technical department set-up, a development that is understood to have irked Mugurasave.

Madombi was formally introduced to the players today.

Lloyd Chinawa, who is a key member of the club executive in charge of technical aspects of the game, is understood to have quit his post citing lack of corporate governance within the team where the decision to bring back Madombo was just made and shoved down the throats of coaches and players under the pretext that it is an “instruction from Harare”.

Contacted for comment, Mugurasave said: “I cannot talk to the media about this. It will be tantamount to disrespecting the club and the institution.”

Club spokesperson, Philemon Mushekwa confirmed the return of Madombi, but could not confirm Mugurasave’s resignation.

“Madombi is back in the same capacity as assistant coach. As for Mugurasave, I am not aware of his resignation,” said Mushekwa.

Chinawa neither confirmed nor denied walking away from Tenax C.S.

“At the moment it is still an in-house issue. We will duly inform you of the developments when the time is ripe,” said Chinawa.

Club chairman, Stefani Masina was not reachable for comment.
