BIKITA Minerals slippery winger, Chris Makambira, is on the radar of a number of highly rated Castle Lager Premiership teams, giving ample evidence to his unjustified exclusion from the 2024 soccer stars of the year calendar.
Even though the Lithium Boys had to survive relegation on the final round of the 2024 Castle Lager Premiership fixtures, Makambira has been phenomenal, and his dexterity as well as skilfulness was evident throughout the season, especially for all those with an eye for players from both big and small clubs.
Post Sport can reveal today that champions, Simba Bhora, Manica Diamonds, Green Fuel, TelOne and Highlanders are among the list of clubs desperately seeking to have the youngster in their books.
Contacted for comment on his next move, Makambira made it clear that he will be leaving Bikita Minerals.
The Nyanga-born, but Harare-based winger, said he needs a club that will add value to his career.
“I need a club that gives me more game time, then allow me to develop in my football career. Indeed, I need to develop more,” he said.
