The National Industrial Fire Control Association has called for greater involvement and collaboration among various stakeholders to increase awareness on fire and life safety and environmental protection as well as promote effective disaster risk assessment and mitigation.
This was said by NIFCA secretary Mr Learnmore Giwa ahead of the national NIFCA competitions to be held in Mutare at Sakubva Stadium tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday.
He said the event is meant to sensitise the public on the risks associated with the fire season and empower communities in taking responsibility to tackle disasters associated with fires.
Several organisations drawn from across the country are set to participate in tomorrow and Friday’s events.
