BUHERA is making huge strides towards improving easy access to quality healthcare services following the establishment of seven health posts in the district.

The health facilities were established using constituency development funds and devolution funds.

Buhera West legislator Honourable Saul Nzuma described the development as a timely boon as it will significantly reduce the long distances villagers used to walk to seek primary health care.

“Buhera’s healthcare system has received a major boost following the establishment of a total of seven new health posts across the district. These are the fruits of constituency development funds and devolution funds. The development has been made possible through collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Health and Child Care. A robust healthcare system is important in improving the lives of local communities,” said Hon Nzuma.

The Second Republic is prioritising increased access to primary health care under the National Development Strategy’s (NDS1) health and well being priority area and is investing heavily in building new health facilities and refurbishing existing ones.
