IN-FORM forward Fortune Binzi scored a second-half hat-trick to inspire Manica Diamonds to a convincing 4-0 victory over Black Rhinos in a Castle Lager Premiership match played at Gibbo Stadium this afternoon.
Talent Chamboko scored the other goal and provided an assist to secure a comfortable win for the diamond miners.
The emphatic victory saw the Gem Boys leapfrog into third position with 11 points from 7 games.
It was Binzi, however, who was the toast of the day after scoring the first hat-trick of this season as he continued with his ruthless streak in front of goal.
The attacker now leads the league’s goal-scoring chart with five goals after netting a brace in last weekend’s 3-0 over ZPC Kariba.
After an indifferent start to the campaign, Manica Diamonds appear to be regaining their sparkle.
They have now scored seven in the last two matches while keeping clean sheets in both encounters.
