PREPARATIONS for this year’s 17th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganai World Travel Expo are gathering momentum, with 400 exhibitors and buyers drawn from Zimbabwe – including from the Eastern Highlands as well as other African and European countries – expected to participate.
The Expo will be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre from Tuesday to Sunday.
The expo, which is one of Africa’s biggest tourism expos, is an annual tourism trade fair which showcases the widest variety of Africa’s best tourism products, and attracts international visitors and media from across the world.
Tourism players from Manicaland, which is one one of the provinces with an avalanche of tourism assets, are expected to attend the expo which attracts scores of exhibitors and international media.
Journalists drawn from across various media houses in the country starting yesterday (Sunday) embarked on a media tour in Masvingo where they toured the Great Zimbabwe monuments and the mighty Lake Mutirikwi.
They are today (Monday) travelling to Gonarezhou National Park in Chiredzi before joining other international media in Bulawayo on Tuesday.
