CITY of Mutare was among this year’s outstanding exhibitors at the just-ended Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) held in Bulawayo as they enjoyed a podium finish.
Mutare City was adjudged the first runner-up under the local authorities category and walked away with a silver medal after displaying its products and services during the country’s annual prestigious trade showcase that attracts players from different sectors of the economy.
The eastern border city’s local authority was showcasing realities in Mutare and the opportunities it offers.
City spokesperson, Mr Spren Mutiwi, expressed elation at the award.
“We are very delighted that City of Mutare won a silver medal in the local authorities category. This achievement would not have been possible without the cordial working relationship we enjoy with residents and other stakeholders.
“It is exciting to note that our brand as a city and its visibility continues to grow and has come to be recognised and accepted at the national level. This is really an honour we share with the people of this beautiful city,” said Mr Mutiwi.
Ha added that the recognition the award has brought will spur them to work even harder and improve on their mandate of quality service delivery.
