GOSPEL musicians, Dorcas Moyo and Blessing Shumba have finally co-released the much-awaited video of the song, “Zvininipise”, which encourages listeners to remain humble and steadfast in the midst of turbulence.

The video is Moyo’s first ever production to be officially launched on online platforms due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She has joined other few local artistes who have seen the virtual route as the way to go.

The video was launched on online platforms such as her official Facebook account, Twitter handle, Kunashe Facebook page as well as on her YouTube account.

Moyo, who seems to be striking the right chords following the release of a well-choreographed video says she wants to popularise her brand and attract more fans by releasing more visuals.

“This is yet another milestone to me because this video was overdue. Adjusting to a virtual launch was not something that I could imagine considering that the song “Zvininipise” was released in 2018. I am glad that the video is finally out and I am impressed by the response that I am getting from listeners.

“Having one of Mutare’s talented artistes, Blessing Shumba on board makes the song and the video a cut above the rest. I believe the video will broaden my fan base,” she said after launching the video on Tuesday.

Moyo boasts of four albums with the latest one being “Ndibatsirewo Mwari.”

The 11-track album carries tracks like “Ndibatsireiwo Mwari”, “Hazvina Maturo”, “Nditarire Nekufara” and “Zvivimbiso”, among others. “I am currently working on a new album that will carry soul lifting songs for listeners especially during this difficult period. I intend to partner several artistes to add a dynamic feeling to my project. It has been a wonderful year despite the Covid-19 pandemic and I urge everyone to be resilient and hopeful,” she added.

Moyo was born in Goromonzi and is a third born in a family of six. She started singing at the age of six when she was then the youngest member of the praise and worship team at her church. She recorded her first album, “Ndokusheedzai Jesu” in 2006 before releasing “Ndinokutungamirira” in 2008. She released another single “Wakabuda Sei” which features Admire Nago of the “Wandigadza” hit.
