A Nyanga man was fined $700 after being found guilty of sending an obscene message to a married female neighbour.
Moses Mugambiwa (39) appeared before Nyanga magistrate Ms Constance Marutya for sending an obscene message to his neighbour, Betty Chinamona (34).
Mr Tafara Chawatama represented the State.
Allegations were that on November 6, Mugambiwa sent a message to Chinamona accusing her of being a woman of loose morals.
In his message, Mugambiwa said Chinamona was a woman who competed with her own children for boyfriends.
After being asked what motivated him to act in that manner, Mugambiwa responded that he was driven by anger and ended up insulting his neighbour, Chinamona.
Magistrate Ms Marutya ordered Mugambiwa to pay a $700 fine and warned him against committing a similar offence.
