Mandel Night Club (Watsomba)

KING of sungura, Alick Macheso who is coming from a successful tour in Dubai, Australia and the United Kingdom performs at the entertainment joint situated in Watsomba tonight (Friday).

 

The talented bassist who is on a whirlwind expedition dubbed ‘Tinosvitswanashe nationwide tour’ will be backed by heir to the Utakataka throne, Peter Moyo.

 

The show starts at 8pm.

Club Mandisa

Fast-rising Harare-based sungura musician, Tindo Ngwazi and his Adequate Sounds, headlines this weekend’s festivities at the joint situated in the city centre this weekend.

 

The singer, younger brother to man-of-the-moment, Mark Ngwazi, is currently riding high with new album, Bhedhegubhe, which comprises songs such as Eria naErisha, Ndavanzwa Vachibheja, Wakaita Nharo and Wagara Wakazvironga.

Rozvi Bottlestore

Legendary mbira outfit and one of Zimbabwe’s oldest mbira groups, Mbira DzeNharira performs in Mutare tomorrow (Saturday) for the first time.

 

The group, which was formed by Tendai Gahamadze, is set to entertain fans with their traditional rhythms from 3pm.

The Saramugomo hit-makers will be supported by local mbira ensemble, Ntswai Ntswai, which is fronted by Lino Piloto.

Casa de Liquor

The much-awaited festivity dubbed ‘Mixed bag challenge’ debuts tonight with deejays Frazer and Terminator taking turns to entertain patrons from all walks of life.

 

Tomorrow sees the deejays playing classics all day long as patrons enjoy booze and live soccer that will be screened in the bar.

Sun City (Sakubva)

Local jazz groups Sunrise Band and Bako Band will this weekend entertain fans with renditions and own compositions, while resident wheel spinners Checkmaster and Tony Lee will be on rotation before and after the two bands’ performances.

Liquor Hub

The liquor and entertainment hub which has become popular among imbibers in Chikanga hosts soundmen Kartel Promotions tomorrow afternoon for an open air gig which will see revellers being treated to dried fish and exotic beer.
