FORMER Manica Diamonds midfield magician, Last Jesi, safely left Sudan and is currently in Tanzania, while FIFA is presiding over his nasty fallout with Sudanese giants, Al Hilal FC.

Although his handler, George Deda, only confirmed that the player safely left Sudan and that he is at an unnamed West African club, Post Sport has it on good authority that Jesi is actually in Tanzania with options to sign for three prominent clubs.

“Last Jesi left Sudan safely. It is unfortunate that I cannot disclose the club he is currently training with in West Africa because the club requested us to remain silent about it. I will furnish you with more details of his movements when the right time comes. Right now his issue with Al Hilal FC is still under FIFA considerations,” said Deda.

“He is in Tanzania. It is true the club requested that we remain silent about his whereabouts until all parties have agreed on all terms and a contract is signed. There are three big clubs that are chasing his signature, hence the privacy involved in negotiations of his contract,” said the reliable source who requested anonymity.

The Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) recently came to the aide of Jesi after the Zimbabwe international was involved in a nasty divorce with Sudanese giants, Al Hilal.

Jesi, whose contract was terminated prematurely by the club earlier this year, experienced a nightmarish departure from Sudan.

The club held onto his passport and also refused to pay his outstanding dues.

FUZ engaged the club to clear the salary arrears and the player consequently got his passport and US$10 000 in salary arrears.

The 26-year-old midfielder is pushing for a golden handshake in the region of US$200 000 for the breach of his contract.
The former Dongo Sawmills player signed a three-year contract with the Sudanese giants in September last year.

He made an instant impact on arrival in Sudan when he scored on his debut as the Omdurman-based side drew 1-1 against Hay-Al-Arab in a Premier League match on December 28.

However, there have been complaints the club was always been paying his salary late.

Jesi featured for Al Hilal in five Champions League matches and was named man-of-the-match in two games.

However, he was released, barely seven months into his adventure.

Three other foreign players were shown the exit by the Omdurman-based side mid-season, following the club’s failure to progress into the quarter-finals, of the CAF Champions League.
