THE sprawling suburb of Dangamvura will tonight (Friday) reverberate into sound as popular Zim Dancehall artiste, King Shaddy, is set to perform at Villa Spot Nite Club in a potentially-explosive gig.
The talented chanter curtains up the club’s festive season packed calendar which will see other revered artistes across all genres performing.
He will also take the grand opportunity to present his projects to his legion of fans from the ghetto.
“It will be my pleasure to date my fans in Mutare. They always give me an excellent reception whenever I perform there. My camp is ready for the show and I like to urge my fans to come in their numbers and watch a polished performance from the Makorokoza Clan. I will unveil songs from my latest album, Gosongo such as Baba Tashiano, Chinyakare, Pangu Pangu and Handidi Nacho,” said the dreadlocked musician.
Villa Spot Club, situated in Dangamvura’s Area 13, adjacent Mangenje Shopping Centre, has so far hosted other Zim Dancehall artistes such as Sniper Storm and Tony D as well as erotic dancer, Zoey.
Some of King Shaddy’s danceable tunes include Wadiwa Mia Huni, Tsoka ya Danmore, True Love and Vakandibata.
The club’s management said they had lined up a series of shows from this weekend till year end.
“We have great plans in store for our clients this festive season. Hosting one of the most celebrated chanters in the country on Friday is the beginning of massive plans ahead. This is also part of our appreciation to our patrons for the wonderful co-operation and support,” said a member of the management.
