SAKUBVA-BRED seasoned midfielder Willard Katsande started life at his new club Sekhukhune United on a sour note after they lost their debut match in the South African top-flight league this afternoon.
The DStv Premiership newcomers went down 0-1 at home to Chippa United.
Donning his trademark Number 31 shirt, Katsande started the match before being pulled out for Tlotlo Leepile in the 79th minute, barely a minute after receiving a caution.
Veteran shot-stopper Tapuwa Kapini kept goals for Sekhukhune United, while compatriot Charlton Mashumba was a second-half substitute. Fellow Zimbabwean and new signing Blessing Sarupinda did not make the team.
Elsewhere, another Mutare-born star Onismor Bhasera returned to SuperSport United’s starting XI for their 0-0 draw at Cape Town City.
