Former Warriors captain Willard Katsande who came out of international retirement in November and went on to feature against Liberia has been dropped. The midfielder is replaced by Danny Phiri who missed the trip to West Africa due to an injury.

Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa has announced his provisional squad for the 2019 Afcon Qualifier against Congo Brazzaville in Harare.

The Group G match will be played on the 24th of March at National Sports Stadium.

Leicester City forward Admiral Muskwe and German-based Kelly Lunga have both been included in the provisional squad, although they are yet to acquire Zimbabwean passports.

Muskwe has featured for the national team before but in friendly matches and he requires a local passport to play in competitive games.

England-based defender Tendayi Darikwa returns to the squad after serving his suspension, which saw him miss the trip to Liberia. Other notable names in the provisional selection include captain Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat, Evans Rusike, Marvelous Nakamba, Alec Mudimu and Teenage Hadebe.
