IT’s show time, finally.

The sleepy area of Watsomba will tonight reverberate into sound as two celebrated artistes — Jah Prayzah and Jah Signal — will square off in a potentially-explosive gig at Mandel Nite Club.

Caff will warm the stage for the two artistes from 4pm.

The gig will be broadcast live on Diamond FM between 4pm and 7pm.

It is expected to attracting scores of fans from in and out of Mutare.

The event is part of Watsomba-based businessman Lovemore Mwandimutsira’s 40th birthday celebration.

Organisers of the event said all was in place to host the epic gig.

“Both artistes will perform twice during the night. The show is expected to end around 6am since there will be lots of surprise acts. We are happy that we finished the revamping of the centre. The VIP lounge and other areas are done and we are urging fun lovers to come in numbers. I am also assuring fun lovers that maximum security is guaranteed,” said Mwandimutsira, quashing fears of power blackout.

Fans will pay $40 and $70 at the gate.

EcoCash and Swipe are accepted.

The VIP area comprise of a braiing area, liquor centre and separate ablution block.

Jah Prayzah is expected to belt out songs from his new and previous albums that include “Kumahumbwe”, “Dangerous”, “Halo”, “Chengetedza” while Signal, who is also a crowd puller in his own right, will entertain fans with hits such as “Stonyeni”, “Mubako” and “Unovashungurudza”, among others.

And this gig will mean a lot for Mutare’s Caff, who will curtain raise for the two giants.

He has been at such platforms before, but this gig is special in many ways for the young lad.

“This will be my first time to share a stage with both artistes and this will be my first time to perform in Watsomba. It is a high profile gig that I feel honoured to be part of,” said the elated singer, who is currently riding high with hits “Manager” and “Mufaro bedzi bedzi”.
