GOVERNMENT has established an incubation hub at Arda Transau in Odzi to equip youths in Manicaland with life skills.

The hub, which has several life skill training facilities, came with 70 cattle for breeding and dairy farming.

Addressing Zanu PF Manicaland youth leadership after touring the 256-hectare farm at Arda Transau last week on Saturday, provincial youth chairperson, Cde Stanley Sakupwanya said the farm was availed by Government to empower the youth.

He said they want to expand the incubation hub by engaging youths in agricultural activities as well as mining activities.

“The hub will assist our youths with the necessary life skills that will mould them into top quality farmers and entrepreneurs, but we also have plans to take up mining and introduce it at the hub.

“The skills will ensure that Government’s vision of an upper middle class economy by 2030 is realised,” he said.

He went on to lobby for assistance for young people who want to venture into mining.

Cde Sakupwanya expressed gratitude on the strides being made by Government in empowering the youths.

Speaking at the same event, Zanu PF Manicaland provincial chairperson, Cde Mike Madiro said a number of incubation hubs for youths will be rolled out across the country.

He said the incubation hubs will be used to engage youths in agricultural projects like dairy farming and horticulture.

He said the hub is one of President Mnangagwa’s empowerment projects that ensures that noone is left behind in economic empowerment programmes.

“We hope that the youths will be business minded and fully utilise the hub by introducing projects like goat breeding and bee keeping because the economy depends on them.

“By empowering the youths, Government is ensuring that Vision 2030 will be met without any challenges,” he said.

Cde Madiro said through the empowerment of young people, victory is certain for both Zanu PF during next year’s harmonised elections and the attainment of the country’s Vision 2030.

Other party leaders who toured the hub include Manicaland provincial Women’s League chairperson, Cde Happiness Nyakuedzwa, and members of the recently elected youth league national executive, led by the youth league’s deputy national secretary, Cde John Paradza as well as secretary for administration, Cde Tendai Chiwetu.
